Lions, & Tigers, & Bears .....

It was another beautiful day out, so we decided to spend the morning at the Phoenix Zoo. It must have been a great time to go, because most of the animals were out to play. Austin had a great time, and loved looking at all of the different animals......and the occasional little girl that walked by ( boys will be boys???).

On our way to the zoo. I had filled the whole sippy cup with Cherry-Limeade ... Austin chugged it in less than 1 minute. Guess he liked it :-P.

Everytime Austin saw an animal he liked he would say "Mom, TAKE A PICTURE!!!" for anyone that knows Austin, you can imagine his little demanding voice saying this .... and me listening :o).

We decided to rent one of the strollers at the zoo. Turns out, they move pretty nice! While Billy and I were huffing and puffing to push this thing up the mountains ( ok...they were little hills) Austin sat all nice and comfy eating his Kettal-Corn.

Austin definately liked the Orangutan's the best. He was in aww of watching them interact and play together.

Playing on an old tractor by the petting zoo.

Family Date Night

Billy, Austin and I had date night tonight. Austin and I have been terribly sick with a cold the last two days, so a nice night out was in order. Austin loves going out to eat, and INSISTS on opening the restaurant doors for Mommy... Daddy is teaching him very well :o).

Waiting patiently at the Island's for our table. They pretty much have the best burgers ever!!!

When the waitress came to take our order Austin kept asking for Mac-N-Cheese, but they didnt have any, so he settled for a grilled cheese.

After dinner we walked over to Ultimate Electronics to look at some TV's ... Austin quickly found the one he wanted and sat down to watch the movie that was playing.

"Kenal and Kenan"

Seth, Kiersten, and the kiddos came to visit a few weeks ago. This was the first time we had seen Kendall in almost a year, and the first time we got to meet Kellen. Kendall amazes me with how smart she is ( 3 yrs old and starting to read!!!!) and Kellen is so cute I could hardly put him down. We all had so much fun playing with the kids and they even got to stay for a sleepover!

Here is Miss Kendall playing with the workbench....between this and Skylar's "littlest petshop" toys she stayed pretty busy.

Austin was very excited to meet his little cousin Kellen. But, he wasnt so excited when he saw Mommy holding him .. if I held him for too long Austin would say "No Kenan, thats my mommy!".
We all really enjoyed their visit, and can't wait for them to move back here :O)

Uncle Nick's basketball game

Uncle Nick played in his school's annual "Faculty Vs. 6th graders" basketball game, so we all went to root him on! Austin was not much for sitting and watching the game, as we spent most of the time playing on the schools playground. I wish I had it on video because everytime I would cheer Austin would get really mad and shush me...he is no fun :o(.

Nick getting hydrated before the big game...some of those 6th graders were huge!

Walking back to Nick's classroom after the game. Austin always makes himself right at home in his classroom and goes through all the kids' desks..... although we think it is cute, I am sure the kids don't appreciate it :o)

Aunt Roxy

Aunt Roxy came to visit a few weeks ago. We were all excited to see her, and for Austin to meet her. Plus, since she was coming from freezing cold Chicago...we knew she would enjoy the nice weather :o). Aunt Roxy brought Austin the book Find the Teddy.... we are pretty sure Austin had her read it 103894234 times to him in the short time she was here.

This is the only pic I could find of Aunt Rox and Austin. Sorry its so blurry :o)

Playing at the Park

Shortly after we started playing at the park these 2 little girls came to play as well. Austin followed them around saying " Hey girl...come here!" hmm...he may need to work on his pick-up lines.
Helping Mommy off the slide... what a nice baby he is :o)
Ahhh boys.

Riding the new scooter he got for Christmas. Austin really loved this toy... for about 3 days. Now he is bored with it and tries to ride his sisters Razor scooter.

Jewwy-Butter

Austin is a VERY picky eater, and lately all he has wanted are "Jewwy-Butters" ( PB&J's). So one morning ( yes...he had a PB&J for breakfast) he decided he wanted to make one on his own. He did a really great job, and was very proud of himself :o).

Eating his finished product. He didnt spread out everything very well, so once he got to the middle he let out a big "YUCK" and threw the rest in the trash.

Well, I am giving in and starting a blog! Hopefully this will enable me to keep everyone updated on Austin and how he is doing.... because I am obviously very terrible at doing so.
